Rickmansworth School was founded in 1953 and celebrated its sixtieth year anniversary just last year.
It is located in Scots Hill and is a popular secondary school for 11-18 year olds. The school currently has over 1200 students on roll including a sixth form with 250 students.
The school is branded as a Specialist Science and Arts college and has been recently refurbished over the past few years. It now includes a new sports hall, swimming pool and and dining room.
In September 2013, the school received an Ofsted inspection rating of ‘good’ in all areas. Headteacher Kieth Douglas feels the school can improve its rating and achieve ‘outstanding’ in all areas.
